davebillbylinesmallpngdsrlivepodcastpngA big “contract account” is off limits for a street DSR, right?  Not if you ask Brett Buse, the foodservice director for the Dubuque Community School District in Iowa.  School districts, hospitals and other large non-restaurant accounts are demanding more service these days as they move away from awarding contracts strictly based on price.  In fact, Martin Bros. DSR Tim Havenstrite ultimately became the primary provider for Dubuque schools by first providing small, valuable services for a year that were missed by another distributor’s “hands off” low-price approach.  Listen in as Brett, Tim and co-hosts DSR Dave Miesse and Bill Hornung yak about the myths of pursuing (or not) contract accounts.
