348: Veteran DSR of 31 years succeeds through good ‘ol fashioned customer service
Rhys Bowman, a top DSR at Buchy Foodservice in Greenville, Ohio has kept his customers happy for decades by focusing on good old-fashioned customer service. Rhys' approach continues to pay big dividends as operators appreciate his willingness to make things happen to help keep them stay in business during slow times.
Like having a one-case minimum order... or rather "one" of anything. Yes, if that means breaking a case to help an operator... so be it!
Rhys has been inducted into AFDR's DSR Hall of Fame for December 2010.
In an interview with the DSR Live! crew, Rhys explains the value of starting out as a truck driver. How he deals with Made Rite, a local restaurant known nationally for its quirky menu. And why delivering on (not just talking about) customer service has helped him and Buchy Foodservice continue to grow at double-digit rates even during the last few years.
