Part 2:  Adam Hittner, DSR of the Month

Ask yourself that question, because that’s what Adam Hittner, DSR of the Month, has to do every day when he makes calls on customers who purchase cigarette products.  WOW, can you imagine what your cold calls would be like if everything you sold had to be the exact same price as your competitors?!  DSR Dave asks the question, “Why would a customer buy from you?”  Would it be because you look more professional, being well groomed and wearing a tie?  Would it be because you know more about the products you’re selling, or maybe because of the day of week your delivery truck is in their area?

Is being a DSR really what you want to do as a career?  Adam and DSR Dave discuss this topic and talk about how much business is out there if you want to work hard for it.

Hittner and Miesse also talk about managing A/R, cold calling on Liquor Stores, C-Stores and Restaurants, and if there is much difference in the approach of selling to this variety.
